GORGON LNG JETTY AND MARINE STRUCTURES PROJECT – HENDERSON WA

  Crane Crew – Henderson

The scope of the works consists of construction of the 2.1 km jetty. The works also include supply, fabrication and construction of marine structures including a heavy lift facility, tug pens and navigation aids.

Concrete structures, known as caissons, will be manufactured at the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, transported to Barrow Island and lowered onto gravel beds placed at intervals on the sea floor to provide a support structure for the jetty.

The jetty will consist of steel trusses 70 m in length, supported by 56 caissons leading to the two loading platforms approximately four kilometres from the shore.
